Red
Robin Restaurant
You have to look
hard, but Red Robin knew the unseen benefits of this application
of K-13 would be well worth it. As in many of the K-13 applications
in restaurants, the main goal is not to be seen and not be
heard. Applied above the suspended drop ceiling clouds, the
K-13 eliminates the drum effect which can occur between the
structural deck and the various suspended systems. The fact
that it would be visible in certain areas lead the chain to
decide they would have the K-13 applied in their custom Red
color.

Boloco
Inspired Burritos
The new Boloco
Restaurant is set up cafeteria style but certainly did not
want to sound like one. An application of Conspiracy "FCC"
at .5" made sure of that. The attention to detail, right
down to the acoustical performance of this restaurant, ensures
the customers an enjoyable environment to relax and dine.
Nestled in the heart of Boylston Street, Boloco is sure to
be a big hit with the locals.

Bella
Luna Restaurant
The new Bella
Luna Restaurant in Jamaica Plain taps K-13 for acoustical
control in this eye popping architectural design. Applied
in Black at 3", the application not only wipes out any
chance of reverberation from the entertainment inside the
club, but assists in controlling sound transmission to surrounding
neighbors and adjacent tenants. There are not too many types
of K-13 applications that are more important in the end result
than in this type of venue.

CBS
The Scene
How about one
more application of K-13 at Patriot Place. Applied on several
of their sets across the country, K-13 is certainly not new
to CBS or Patriot Place. There are not many materials that
can offer this type of multipurpose performance, including
the black-out effect along with unsurpassed Noise Reduction
Coefficients. No fire retardant coatings needed here, K-13
is a Class "A" Non-Combustible. |

Bleacher
Bar & Grill
Only at Fenway
Park, this historic view is from the new Bleacher Bar &
Grill under the center field grandstand. This custom color
application of Blue K-13 tops off 3 years and more than 250,000
square feet of K-13 applications that have been installed
in various areas of the park for performance purposes including
condensation control, thermal performance and of course acoustical
enhancement. K-13 is a class "A" noncombustible
and does not require costly fire barriers.

L'ANDANA
The
new L'ANDANA restaurant in Burlington Massachusetts made sure
nothing would distract from the fine wines or exquisite menu
with this dramatic application of Black K-13. Applied at 1.5"
over the exposed fluted metal deck, the K-13 absorbs the potential
for reverberation in the main dining room, function room and
bar area. This extra attention to detail in the design of
L'ANDANA ensures an enjoyable experience for all.

Assumption
College Cafe
When
creating an area for students to gather and discuss the upcoming
day, this high ceiling cafe was in need of effective acoustical
control. K-13 Black applied at 3/4", Noise Reduction
Coefficient of .70, has provided an enjoyable environment
for all. The mix of low curved soffits, bright colors, wood
trim and black-out effect of the ceiling has an eye catching
appearance.

Brew
Moon Restaurant
Ambiance,
which can be affected by acoustical performance, can be the
difference between success and failure for any restaurant.
The Brew Moon at the South Shore Plaza chose Black K-13, applied
at a thickness of 1”, to control reverberation while
enhancing the spectacular architectural design. With the open
floor plan of over 8,000 square feet, the problem of sound
transmitting from the bar area to the dinning room was a major
concern. The application of Black K-13 allowed the designers
to focus on aesthetics while having confidence in the finished
acoustical performance of the space. |
