"Body of Proof" Studio

When the new hit series Body of Proof came to town, they needed to renovate the studio space quickly and effectively. They didn't choose foam due to the smoke development, they didn't choose sprayed fiberglass due to the lack of bond strength and durability, they chose K-13. They are not alone. The Brotherhood, Providence, and The Notch are also among the many new studios in the New England area that have utilized the multiple characteristics of K-13. Transforming this rusted metal building and providing R-Values and superior Noise Reduction was completed in less than 10 days.

Vinyl backed fiberglass batts certainly are the most economical solution to insulating a metal building, but it clearly is not the best long term solution. This 40,000 square foot renovation included the removal of the original insulation and replacement with K-13 Spray-On Thermal Insulation. Applied at a 2" monolithic coating, the K-13 is providing an R-Value of 9.4 along with a Noise Reduction Coefficient of 1.05. The removal of wet ripped and sagging fiberglass insulation is not a novel one, A.T.I. performs the cut and replace application several times per year.
